Pragmata comes to PlayStation State of Play with 2026 release window
After years of radio silence, Capcom has finally shown off some more of its upcoming space adventure.
PlayStation's State of Play showcase took place on Wednesday and it offered Capcom an opportunity to finally offer an update on its upcoming space adventure, Pragmata. The publisher issued a new trailer that at last shed some more light on what the game's story and gameplay both look like.
"Our two protagonists, Hugh and Diana, happen upon one another and must work together to defeat the lunar station AI and return to Earth," Game Director Cho Yonghee said on PlayStation.Blog. "Both have their own abilities, and you’ll need to control them both—at the same time—to overcome the many obstacles you'll face. This two-in-one approach, where Hacking is key to your success, is our own unique take on combat that you’ll only find here in Pragmata."
Pragmata has had an interesting development journey. The game first revealed back in June 2020 in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has taken a noticeable toll on the game's creation, first getting delayed to 2023, and then in 2023 getting delayed further. Wednesday's trailer ended with one more card at the end, seemingly cementing a 2026 release window with no further delays.
Look for Pragmata to come to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Capcom is promising additional gameplay information in the months ahead, so stay tuned to Shacknews as we learn more along with everyone else.
